I would like to have a section of my website just for teachers.  I want to have a place where we can share ideas.  I am especially interested in gathering forms and templates to share.  I find myself creating forms every year, and I would like a place where we can share each other's forms.  I have found very few sites on the internet that have GOOD forms for elementary teachers.  If you are interested, please e-mail me any useful forms and I will be glad to post them here.  I would also like to have a place to list other 2nd grade websites, as well as a place to provide excellent educational sites.  Please e-mail me your link, and I will be happy to post your site here!  Thanks and have a great school year!!

Fishing For Good Behavior
I assign each student a number.  I write their number on about 15 foam fish.  When I catch a student following the rules or being a good role model, I put one of their numbered fish in a bag.  Occassionally, I will draw from the bag.  Rewards might be:  stickers, complete a job, run an errand, bubble gum, choose the read aloud story, etc.  If I need several students to help in another class, I will choose numbers from the bag.  The kids love it.  They never know what reward they will get!

Houghton Mifflin        Resources
Click HERE if you would like some extra resources for the Houghton Mifflin Reading Series.  Be sure to e-mail me any resources that you have created too!
This is a new site that has thousands of worksheets and centers and other activities on it by Evan-Moor.  They will let you try the site for 99 cents for the first month.  (And it's only $9.99 for each month after that.)  It's definitly worth it.
